Job Overview:

Our Neoverse cores are leading a technology disruption! We need a Principal Firmware Enablement Engineer to work with the Arm Central Engineering - Software/Firmware partners and support the growing demand for Neoverse cores in the Cloud and Datacenter. You will be in an individual contributor role to engage and collaborate with internal and external partners to enable and support Arm Infrastructure hardware software ecosystem. Responsibilities:
  • Define the product requirement specification of the System Validation Kit on our OCP reference platform for customer evaluation.
  • Develop detailed validation test plan for Linux-based system level stress test on Arm-based Infrastructure devices.
  • Implement and build up system process to package, maintain and deploy Linux OS validation test suite for SLT qualification and screening.
  • Collaborate with post-silicon validation team to port, migrate and enable bare-metal tests on Linux OS to customer reference platforms.
  • Debug and resolve hardware issues during the bringup phase.
  • Develop and implement tests as per the test plan for hardware components.
  • Maintain scalability and deployment of validation OS and Linux-based test suite on validation platform for device screening process.

Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in Linux development and hardware testing tools and methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Linux Development Engineer, Hardware Test Engineer, and/or similar role.
  • Experience with hardware testing methodologies and tools. bringup and debugging.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu and RTOS bring up on SoC platforms.
  • Solid understanding of programming languages such as C, C++, and Assembly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • A willingness to guide and mentor engineers.
"Nice To Have":
  • Knowledge of the Arm SystemReady certification program
  • Experience with Arm system architecture specifications, such as the Base System Architecture (BSA), the Server Base System Architecture (SBSA), and the Server Base Manageability Requirements (SBMR)
  • Experience with the install and debug of Linux and/or Windows operating systems for use in Cloud and Datacenter solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with Cloud and Datacenter infrastructure and software solutions

Salary Range: $185,491-$250,958 per year
