Project Engineer - Linear Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

We are actively seeking to hire intermediate or senior level engineers to join our Linear infrastructure (water/wastewater) team in Burlington and Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will work on a variety of challenging linear infrastructure projects for (water and wastewater) which include planning, design and construction reviews for Large diameter watermains and sanitary/storm sewers as well as pumping stations and other civil works.


  • Involvement in linear infrastructure (water/wastewater) design assignments from conception through to completion;
  • Provide preliminary and detailed design of municipal infrastructure projects including sewers, water mains, pump stations, roads, and other related works;
  • Contract document preparation, including detailed design drawings and specifications;
  • Construction contract administration, and complete field work including site inspection of a variety of water/wastewater linear infrastructure projects;
  • Meet client quality, schedule, and budget expectations;
  • Liaise with other engineering disciplines, and staff responsible for design coordination;
  • Assist the senior engineer, and project managers on other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university;
  • 8-12+ years' experience in a consulting engineering firm, design of municipal infrastructure, specifically linear infrastructure (sewers, watermains, and roads);
  • Professional Engineer designation with Professional Engineers Ontario or in any other province;
  • Understanding of the applicable design standards for linear infrastructure;
  • Technical skills in the design of large diameter sewers and water mains is mandatory;
  • Familiar with utility requirements, approval process and permitting;
  • Experience in Hydraulic modelling for water/sewer and implementation;
  • Demonstrate good Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, BIM and MS Project;
  • Demonstrated analytical (data collection, compilation and analysis) and reporting skills;
  • Familiarity with environmental assessments is a strong asset;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Positive attitude with interest in delivering successful projects.
