Job Summary:

As a member within the SAP operations, SAP Technical Resource is accountable to provide subject matter expertise. As a member of SaskPower's management team, this position is responsible to act as a central point of contact in the management and administration of strategic and operational functions, providing expert advice and direction that aligns with departmental and corporate goals and objectives.

SaskPower's SAP support team is currently searching for a dynamic individual with deep skills in SAP ABAP developer to join our Customer Relationship & Billing team as a SAP Specialist. The successful candidate will enjoy a variety of work activities including interaction with SaskPower's Finance and Customer Services teams as well as project assignments.

What you'll do in this job:

  • Plan, analyze, design, develop, implement, maintain and support SAP system changes, enhancements and new initiatives as an SAP ABAP developer
  • SAP Operations Department delivers ongoing maintenance support, system improvements, and project delivery to solve complex business problems
  • Consult and assist the functional resources in the evaluation, development and implementation of business processes and business requirements relating to SAP functionality and perform SAP development changes to improve business procedures

Experience and knowledge in the following SAP ABAP topics will allow you to excel in this job:

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an ABAP/J2EE/WebDynpro/Fiori/Gateway/HANA Studio with ABAP certification and knowledge of object-oriented programming with practical experience in supporting SAP development
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager for managing custom code and Change Management (ChaRM)
  • Experience with SAP partner products ie Redwood, Output Management, OpenText document storage, etc. are beneficial
  • Experience in developing HANA CDS views, SAP CRM - BOL programming & ABAP on HANA are beneficial.
  • Knowledge on PWB forms and ISU Models (Business and Technical) will be added advantage.
  • Provide leadership in the development of new SAP solutions
  • Perform batch job management including scheduling, monitoring and efficiency
  • Process Orchestration (SAP PO) for managing data exchange
  • Two full life cycle SAP project implementations preferred
  • Experience in design and development of corporate systems
  • Experience in a language with an integrated data dictionary
  • Experience in documentation of code
  • Aware of new developments and trends
  • Relational database concepts
  • BDC/BAPI/IDOCS/Adobe Forms/NetWeaver/FIORI

Successful applicants will have a university degree in engineering, computer applications or related discipline, SAP Functional Academy Certification and relevant knowledge/work experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
