About the Program:
Our client is undertaking a global enterprise-wide business transformation program aimed at harmonizing and simplifying core end-to-end processes across the organization. Their mission is to enable seamless execution through a standardized IT landscape, with SAP S/4HANA at its core.
Role Overview:
As the Local Data Migration Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in driving successful business transformation. You'll ensure that local data migration activities align with the project global strategy and methodology. Collaborating closely with functional streams, local subject matter experts (SMEs), and Business Data Content Owners, you'll contribute to the overall success of the program.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Data Migration:
- Lead data migration activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data integrity as we transition from Legacy systems to SAP platforms.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with data migration, maintaining high data quality and governance standards.
- Business Alignment:
- Work closely with functional teams to gather business data requirements and create value mappings.
- Ensure local activities adhere to the governance, executed within expected timelines, and meet quality standards.
- Project Accountability:
- Plan, manage risks, and address issues related to business data migration.
- Communicate effectively with senior management and escalate as needed.
- Track business deliverables, ensuring readiness and data quality.
- Data Cleansing:
- Monitor continuity of data cleansing activities alongside business teams.
- Guide team members before, during, and after cleansing activities.
- Collaborate with the Cutover Lead to align data migration efforts.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations relevant to the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP data migration/clean-up activities, preferably in the Pharma/healthcare industry.
- Proven experience leading end-to-end SAP data migration projects, with in-depth knowledge of SAP modules and associated data migration tools.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.
- Competency in understanding S/4 Data Structures and setup in various SAP Modules, including MDG.
- Knowledge of designing, implementing data mapping, transformation, and validation processes using data migration toolsets.
- Familiarity with Material, Customer, and Vendor Master Data objects and conversions.
- Ability to conduct workshops with business representatives and team members.
- Knowledge of GxP and CSV.
- Experience with SAP or third-party data migration toolsets.
- Proficiency in project management tools (eg, Smartsheet, Jira, Solman).
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken); German is a plus.
- A collaborative team player with strong analytical thinking and prioritization abilities.
- Hands-on attitude and solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to establish a solid network and work effectively across organizational boundaries.
Nice-to-Have:
- Certifications in SAP modules or data migration tools.
