Gleeson Recruitment are working on an exciting opportunity alongside a well established national business based in their Nottingham offices.

The purpose of the role is to support and maintain the organisations Network and Server Infrastructure, ensuring maximum uptime, availability and adherence to IT Policies and Processes.

Experience/Knowledge:

Linux/Unix Operating Systems

1. Linux Server Administration
2. Management of Printer Queues
3. Scripting/CRON/Batch Jobs
4. System Patching and Updates
5. Application Installation
6. Storage Management
7. Standard Operating Procedures

• Windows Client and Server Operating System Administration, PowerShell Scripting & problem resolution
• Active Directory and Server administration tools, group policy, Scripting & problem resolution

1. DHCP and DNS configuration
2. Using Active Directory User and Computers administration console to manage Objects, including Organisation Units, Computer Objects, User objects, User attributes, Group Policy, and Group Membership
3. Domain Health and Security diagnostics
4. Automation and replication

• Azure Endpoint or other systems management experience.
• Datacentre Migrations and Service Transformation
• Configuration, OS Imaging & Deployment, Software deployment, patch management, reporting, Scripting, and problem resolution
• Software Packaging, Unattended Installs, Software Deployment
• Patch Management using industry-standard applications, such as WSUS or third-party endpoint management solutions.
• Good understanding of the OSI model
• IP Networking, understanding of core protocols, IPv4 addressing and subnetting, IP routing protocols.
• Core Infrastructure services, DNS and DHCP, Network Policy Server, RADIUS, VPN
• Network and OS Security principles and best practice configuration as determined by system manufacturers and IT security compliance to policy.
• Firewall Administration

Highly desirable but not essential experience would include the below:

• Manage Engine Products
• Meraki SDWAN deployment and administration
• Linux Server Administration
• Palo Alto Firewall
• Net-App SAN ON-TAP
• Oracle Server
• BitDefender Endpoint Security
• XDR Cortex
