As a Data Engineer, you will build and maintain data flows and acquisition processes, delivering well-structured, efficient, and high-performance data marts to drive business analysis and processes. You will report to the Data Engineering Lead(s) for guidance on priorities and technical support. You will be crucial in project delivery, risk escalation, and maintaining day-to-day activities within Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The majority of our data flow scripts are currently in SAS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Software Development: Enhance existing applications and contribute to new application development to meet customer requirements.
- Product/Service Development: Address known problems and deliver defined outcomes using existing systems.
- Faults Diagnosis and Correction: Isolate and resolve issues promptly to limit disruptions.
- Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and propose technical improvements to enhance the quality of the software and supporting infrastructure.
- Project Management: Support project management activities and ensure timely delivery.
- Technical Database Support: Design database resource distribution and provide physical modelling and design services for optimal performance.
- Data Architecture: Maintain data recording systems, including archiving and updating processes.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Produce accurate reports by collecting and formatting data from standard sources.
- Data Exploration: Generate detailed reports by gathering data from various standard sources.
- Data Management: Provide support and advice to help others utilize data management systems effectively
