SQL Server DBA Team Lead (Boston, MA)
An outstanding opportunity for a seasoned SQL Server DBA to join a global leader in secure payment technologies. You will be responsible for owning, tracking, and resolving all database related incidents and requests to meet SLA requirements. This position will entail 80% production, 20% development. Your duties will include, database design, maintenance, reporting, performance tuning, automation, security, and production support. You will serve as a subject matter expert in support of the development team, especially concerning (but not limited to) database structures, database performance, data security, and query optimization. As the Team Lead, you will also be responsible for mentoring the team and ensuring that work is coordinated efficiently across multiple team members.
This is a full time position located in Boston, Massachusetts. We provide fantastic benefits and the opportunity to work with an outstanding team and leadership! There is also an opportunity to telecommute 1 time per week once you are ramped up.
7+ years as a SQL Server DBA and T-SQL
SQL Server 2008/2012
SQL DBA administration and support
Backup & Recovery
SQL Query Optimization experience
Familiar with current development support tools (GIT, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Exposure to clustering
Knowledge of web development languages
Involved in MS SQL Server community, active PASS Membership
Experience in the payment industry
