Essential Duties: Include but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage cell phone and tablet devices (Android & Apple), to include supporting and troubleshooting existing devices and replacing devices as needed. As primary support for these devices, provide support to end users by assisting them with transfers of accounts, apps, pictures and other content as well as setting up email on new devices. Monitoring of monthly bills for excessive usage and errors as well as reporting exceptions to company management is also required.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to Help Desk type requests received through phone calls, email, and Cherwell tickets. Diagnose and resolve issue(s) or redirect problem(s) to the correct resource. Install programs, updates, printers as needed.
  • Image new computers and setup work stations and components such as monitors, keyboards, printers for users.
  • Assist in maintaining system documentation which includes hardware and software inventory, network maps, operating procedures, and change made logs.
  • Train users on software or procedures.
  • Order equipment and software in compliance with EMCOR Policy and Procedure and manage inventory of replacement parts or accessories.
  • Follow corporate policies and procedures for IT use, procurement, security, backups, and e-waste disposal.
  • Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
  • Associates degree in a computer field is preferred or at least 2+ years work experience in a Help Desk environment and a high school diploma/general equivalency (GED) required.
  • Strong knowledge of computers, networking, and mobile devices.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including Win 7+, Server 2012+, and Office.
  • Experience with the following products or programs is a plus: AirWatch, Cherwell, Citrix, COINS, DDPE, Equitrac, Hyper-V, Lotus Notes, Outlook, or Rapid Recover.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn and support new technology.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to service internal users in a collaborative and efficient manner.
  • Flexibility to work after hours, holidays and/or weekends as required.
  • Ability to travel to remote office locations as required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for equipment installations, Workstation set ups, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
This position works in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
