The primary purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate, and schedule new software implementation project sales for Hach data management software products. The Project Manager I also has responsibility for software support renewal contracts, providing remote services, and delivering post-sale technical support and advice to customers.
  • Limited travel may be required
  • Manage, develop, and revise Project Management tracking systems and standard work
  • Ensure accuracy between project Statement of Work and original Services quote
  • Schedule and deliver assigned remote technical services products and post-sale support including database development, connecting appropriate system interfaces, variables and calculations setup and configuration, and customer training sessions
  • Coordinate with Project Manager II team to deliver monthly revenue forecast, assign projects, and plan and schedule initial project meetings
  • Communicate with Sales, Applications/Service, Customer Support, and Customers to regarding project status/timing
  • Conducts and facilitates effective customer review meetings with assigned Project Manager II as needed throughout project to gain consensus on project deliverables, Statement of Work, and project sign off.
  • Identifies, classifies and implements project holds and communicates action to all stakeholders.
  • Works with Sales, Applications, Technical Support, Services, Development teams and/or customers to resolve schedule delays and/or reschedule
  • Move, schedule or reschedule projects to leverage available time for Project Manager II team, applications engineers and development team
  • Responsible for support contract process including implementing new contracts, on-time renewals, and identifying opportunities to reinstate abandoned contracts
  • Identifies sales and leads opportunities relating to customer training and system features/benefits enhancements
  • Responsible for meeting Key Performance Indicators including but not limited to billable services deliverables, capacity utilization, contract renewal rate, backlog reduction, and on-time delivery
  • Works with and within the Software Support team to resolve technical issues from customers and provide prompt, accurate answers to pre-sale and post-sales questions
  • Actively incorporates Danaher Business Systems
  • Work with Sales and Customer Support to provide updates or assistance on existing orders or other project issues where assistance is needed and/or requested.
  • Keeps management informed of priorities and problems; maintains day- to-day record of reports
  • Ability to identify and utilize resources and display strong ownership skills
  • Ability to accomplish multiple goals and projects delivering expected results. Deadline driven.
  • Ability to quickly assess new situations, prioritize critical tasks, and develop objectives towards resolution.
  • Can build trust and support with customers and throughout the organization.
