Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team in our Network Operations Center (NOC) in support of the Distributed Mission Operations Network (DMON) program. We are located in Orlando, Florida's Research Park which has become the World's epicenter of simulation technologies. At our location, we provide dynamic, cost effective distributed training solutions to our nation's finest combat aviators. We furnish the high-speed secure systems and networks that allow geographically disparate combat units to train together in a virtual battle space. We also develop the standards which allow interoperability between multiple different military flight simulation systems. We are truly at the cutting edge of simulation technology. This Cyber Systems Engineer will support the Network Operations Center (NOC) by configuring the network by using various tools and processes to allow the warfighter to train on the DMON network and troubleshoot issues as they arise. The work is often performed in a team-environment which requires strong written and oral communications skills. A proven history of personal commitment and initiative, as well as the ability to set and achieve significant goals as an individual contributor and in a team is required. This candidate must be a proven team player with good interpersonal skills who is highly adaptable and has proven successful in diverse technical areas.

Other responsibilities will include:
Operation and troubleshooting of developed systems
Documentation of new and existing processes
Monitoring, controlling and isolating problems in a data communications network
Activates/deactivates networks via encryption devices according to established schedules dictated by the customer's training requirements
Provide first and/or second-level problem determination and provide needed support
Configure and support video teleconferencing between network participants
Provides responsive quality customer service and support at all times for internal customers as well as external customers at the sites and our Air Force stakeholders
Performs immediate analysis of customer problems and directs the implementation of corrective actions to restore function and avoid recurrence of said problems
Functions as the customer's single point-of contact for problem escalation and resolution as required


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Systems Engineering or a related field

Meet DoD 8570 Certifications Requirements (eg Security+ Certification, and/or CISSP) or ability to obtain certification within 6 months
This position may require working 2nd and/or 3rd shift as needed
Operating system, networking, hardware, and application troubleshooting skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated success working individually or as part of a team requiring little supervision
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel, 10% or less

Preferred Qualifications:
Military experience in communications/avionics/simulation
Experience in Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating System installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and security processes & procedures
Experience in networking hardware configuration and troubleshooting
Familiar with network architectures
