User Researcher (Remote) - Contract (Outside OF IR35) (Contract)

Location: Remote Country: UK Rate: £400 - £450 (Outside Of IR35)
 

Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for a User Researcher on a 6 months contract.

Job Spec:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and conduct user research studies to gather insights into user needs, behaviors, and preferences.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, develop research plans, and identify key research questions.
  • Utilize a variety of research methods, including interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies, to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Analyze research findings and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations for product and service improvements.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and other user-centered design artifacts to communicate research findings and inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and other stakeholders to integrate user feedback into the design and development process.
  • Advocate for the importance of user research and user-centered design principles within the organization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in user research, UX design, and GDS standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a User Researcher with a strong understanding of user research methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience conducting user research within the Government Digital Service (GDS) framework is essential.
  • Proficiency in a variety of research methods, including qualitative and quantitative techniques.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate research findings to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma is a plus.
  • Passion for creating user-centered solutions and improving the user experience.
