Application Security Expert (Permanent)

Ideally, this candidate will come from a Software R&D background who can look at security vulnerabilities in code, with at least 2 years experience.

Role:
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company's software applications from potential threats and vulnerabilities. The position entails a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on technical work, ensuring the security integrity of software applications throughout the development life cycle.

Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain application security measures
- Conduct code reviews and vulnerability assessments
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices
- Develop and enforce application security policies and procedures
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats and countermeasures
- Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices

Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in application security or a related field
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and security protocols
- Proficiency with security testing tools and methodologies
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Relevant certifications (eg, CISSP, CEH, OSCP) are highly regarded
