The Company and opportunity:
A renowned global brand is looking for an IT Service Architect with eCommerce/Digital experience, to be the main interface to Senior Management, Project Managers and the Steering Committee for all Service Architecture and Design activities primarily for their eCommerce programme. This role would be building the one model' for all wider set of cloud based offerings that underpin many of their core services.
As the IT Service Architect, you will Own the service architecture, supporting the Ecommerce Site, being the face of the service within the company, ensuring functional needs are met while supporting scalability, reliability, and performance of their systems.
Core skills, experience & responsibilities required for the IT Service Architect role are:
- A proven track record working as a Service Architect, ideally working in varied working eCommerce/Digital/.Com companies.
- Good experience and knowledge of eCommerce and support of digital solutions.
- Expertise gathering and analysing requirements for large IT projects, with the ability to identify, track, and monitor technical dependencies across systems.
- Good knowledge of current eCommerce technologies including topics like security, data protection, performance and high availability, with Strong awareness and adherence to best practices of testing and deployment.
- Familiar with agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and working with managed backlogs using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Ability to prioritise work activities and identify risks to quality or timelines.
- Fantastic stakeholder management with a real passion for technology and service - curiosity towards new and emerging technology.
- The ability to clearly identify, articulate and prioritise the strategic and tactical value of your vision and roadmap.
- Reduce overall project and operational risk, Ensure adequate monitoring across the eCommerce landscape is in place and be an escalation point during major incidents, who can help technical teams as well as easily access the higher levels of vendors to positively influence the service and focus we receive.
- Engage with and effectively manage stakeholders.
- Working with other Platform Leads, Product Managers, Architects, Developers, and vendors to deliver the roadmap using agile methodologies, prioritising requirements, answering questions and resolving issues, translating into highly detailed technical epics, specifications and implementation plans.
- Good PC literacy (Word, Excel)
This is a 4 month contract role (outside of IR35) working at their West London office and offers a flexible working Hybrid model, depending on deliverables.
