Java Developer - £55,000 - £65,00 - Remote Working

We are looking for a number of Java Developers to work for a Digital consultancy across several of their key clients. You will be joining a dynamic team and contributing to the development of cutting edge applications.

The ideal candidate would have worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.

You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable software solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality code primarily using Java and Spring Boot.
• Designing and implementing cloud-native applications on AWS (Amazon Web Services).
• Contributing to the Front End development using JavaScript.
• Collaborating with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features.
• Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience as a Java Developer.
• You will have ideally worked in the Public Sector, Civil Service or for a consultancy to be suitable for this role.
• Strong working knowledge of the Spring Boot framework.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (eg, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Familiarity with JavaScript for Front End development.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
• Experience with Python is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with containerisation technologies (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
