Procurement Specialist - Amsterdam
As a procurement specialist, you play a crucial role in the procurement process of goods and services for the organization. You are responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the organization s procurement needs are met efficiently and cost-effectively.

This is a Amsterdam based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on their largest digital and technological transformation program.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysing Category Profiles:
- Analyse internal data (historical spend analysis, category constraints, criticality) and external factors (market trends, cost information) to develop category profiles.
- Provide inputs to category strategy development based on the analysis.
Supporting Internal Customers:
- Assist internal customers in preparing purchase requisitions for services.
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement Ops group to facilitate the requisition process.
Demand Forecasting:
- Ensure transparency on short, mid, and long-term demand for relevant products/services.
- Cooperate closely with internal customers to secure the supply for the organization.
Executing Buying Process:
- Execute the buying process according to approved procurement methods and organisation Holdings policies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Supplier Management:
- Follow up with suppliers and renegotiate delivery terms if there is non-compliance.
- Support supplier relationship management and performance evaluation activities.
Contract Management:
- Manage contract implementation in collaboration with internal customers.
- Monitor compliance across the contract lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in a business-related field.
- Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology, category management, procure-to-pay processes, and supplier management.
- Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and flexibility to work independently and in teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing and delivering presentations.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build credibility with business partners.
- Years of Relevant Job Knowledge: Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience, preferably with experience in other categories of indirect spend.
This role demands a strong blend of analytical skills, procurement expertise, and interpersonal abilities to effectively manage categories, support internal stakeholders, and drive supplier relationships.
